In the year 1967 a Bank was established in Dadar, Mumbai-And Janab Abdul Ajij Abdul Karim Shikalgar was included in the Executive Board of that Bank. He tried his level best to include more Shikalgars as members in the Bank, but his efforts did not succeed. Due to less members their views, and opinions were not Considered so they thought of establishing a Bank for the welfare of Shikalgar Society at Large. So, they started uniting Shikalgar members. Janab Abdul Ajij Abdul Karim Shikalgar (Lalbaugh – Vita), Janab Jamal Dadumiya Shikalgar [Dotanki-Vita], Janab Haji Nizambhai Ibrahim Shikalgar (Do tanki-Vita) Janab Rasul bhai Abbas Shikalgar [Grant Road- Bhalavni], Janab Haji Nijam bhai Ibrahim Shikalgar [Do Tanki- Bhalavni] Janab Haji Ahmad bhai Meera bhai Shikalgar [Dongri Vita] Janab Mubarak Chand Shikalgar and Janab Papa Alisahab Shikalgar [Mulund – Kurla] they all united and started with a contribution of Rs 10/-. They Started increasing Shikalgar members. When the membership, increased to 125 members by 1977 Shikalgar Sahakari Pathpedi Mayardit [ Registration NO: BOM|RSR |841 | 1977] was Established in Do Tanki on 11.8.1977 with great vigour and pomp. The pathpedi was Established and functioning very well. As years passed by due to lack proper information about Changing banking scenario, adequate staff and proper time Management the Pathpedi working collapsed. In 1998 Late Janab Haji Maulabhai Hasan Shikalgar [ Kurla – Kachrewadi] took over the reins of Shikalgar Sahakari Pathpedi. He was a selfless man who wanted betterment of shikalgar Community. He had a flourishing business in Kurla. And he was well acknowledged in Kurla by one and all. Initially, he contributed by running the pathpedi in his own premises. And took very nominal rent for the rented premises. He bore financial loss but due to his Efforts, Recognition in Kurla Shikalgar Sahakari Patpedi’s name became popular in that Area. During this period Javed Burhan Shikalgar was in-charge of Pathpedi. Advocate Javed Burhan Shikalgar now resides in Kharghar has his own firm. Javed’s contribution Was immense in Pathpedi. He was a good speaker by his positive vibes tried his best.

Janab Haji Maula Hasan Shikalgar’s tenure was from 1998 to 2003. Janab Aminabahi Ibrahim Shikalgar (Do Tanki) took over the Rein of the pathpedi from 2003 to 2008. He was the President and Late Maulabhai Hasan Shikalgar was the Vice president. Late Janab Haji Ibrahim Jangu Shikalgar was the Treasurer. These Board members thought of taking Risk and purchasing a land in slum Area But unfortunately, that area was not suitable for the Banking operation and they had to drop that Idea. In 2008 New members were elected on the Board of Directors. senior Members felt new generation should come forward and with everyone’s Approval Janab Naushad Yakub Shikalgar [ Goregaon] was elected for the post of President.

Janab  Naushad Yakub Shikalgar a young lad then had the urge to achieve set goal, take Risks for the society, He had a dream, a vision for the Society. He was selfless and honest to the core His only aim was to prove his ability which his elders had entrusted to him.

With this objective in mind, he formed Shikalgar Sahkari Pathpedi team on the same lines of shikalgar Jamat Trust. He formed a team of members who were honest, selfless and wanted to help our society. They kept their office work / personal life away and strived whole heartedly to achieve the Set parameters. It is noteworthy to mention here that Under the able guidance of Naushad bhai the pathpedi slowly, gradually started flourishing. Efforts materialized into Reality, their dreams were fulfilled. The Pathpedi Started functioning in a systematic manner. The Pathpedi has progressed a lot without taking any type of loan from any other Financial Institution. It has expanded on its own. Today we have 2 branches, Govandi branch and Goregaon branch The Staff have increased We have a dedicated team. Thus the Pathpedi has been Instrumental in providing Employment. It is due to the pathpedi Many Small & large businessmen have been able to Expand their Business. Many have taken their dream House in Mumbai and its Suburbs. Traders, Merchants have also availed Loans & flourished. Many parents have successfully got their Wards married with pomp and Jeal. Due to the timely support extended by the Pathpedi.

Also, Pathpedi has helped Medically unfit People to Regain their Life Line. Pathpedi is the Backbone of the Shikalgar Community It is financially capable and strong. It has taken an Eagle’s leap in this competitive Market and also proven its might. under the leadership of Naushad bhai, we could purchase a new office which Resides in Chembur i.e., B’ 12, Kasturba Nagar, Co-operative Housing Society, 2nd floor Thakkar Bappa Colony. Chembur Mumbai-71. At present we have shifted our premises temporarily as construction work is going on.

Shikalgar Jamat comes under NT Nomadic Tribes. But all are not aware of it. Hence for the Benefit of our People we have Placed all the GR’S at one place. So that. Shikalgars can take Reference of it and they will be guided accordingly as to what documents are Required.
