Shikalgar Jamat Trust Mumbai has always believed that empowerment of woman is of utmost important. Hence in 2014 the first Women’s Picnic was organized and at the end of the day Naushad Shikalgar, Salim Gulab Shikalgar, Ashraf Dastagir Shikalgar, Asharaf Yakub Shikalgar came along with the Motivational speaker Shri Ahsan Sayyed, Global Career Counselor. Shri Ahsan Sir guided the women with his inspirational speech. The ladies were highly impressed and due to his motivational guidance Mrs. Nazia Rafiq Shikalgar (Bandra) Started her Masala, Business And is now president of Star Mahila Bachat Gat.

Every year several competitions are organized before Annual Adhiveshan and the winners of different competitions are Felicitated by the respected chief guests of the programme. Its indeed a proud moment for the Ladies to come on stage and receive prizes in front of their family members, relatives. Ladies anxiously Wait for Jamat trust programme and Adhiveshan. As it is a festival just like Eid to be celebrated where they Can Show their talents in cooking competitions or other competitions.

Also, since 2015 cookery competitions were being organized but since 2018 Jamat Trust has been regularly organizing “Swadisht Vyanjan Food festival” in the premises of our Shikalgar Sahkari Pathpedi, Kurla and now it has become a center of attraction not only for men & women of Shikalgar Community but the residents of the buildings surrounding the premises comes to enjoy the treat. Past 2 years even the Shikalgar Boys and Men have started actively participating in the food festival. Seeing the bondage, affection & active participation of all Shikalgars Families Naushad Bahi thought of forming the Shikalgar Mahila Samiti.
