Glimpses of the Thought Process behind the formation of the Trust

Well! As the saying goes “Rome was not built in a day”, so was this trust. The seeds of Bonding with the Shikalgar clan, Unity, and serving the community at large were sown in the mind of Young Naushad Shikalgar when he used to travel frequently with his Father Late Yakub Shikalgar, who was well known as Yakub Baba. In Maharashtra Every year after “Gudi Padwa” Pir Kalandhar Shah Baba’s Urs Sharif is celebrated with great Spirituality in Gram Lengre, Vita, Sangli both by Hindus as well as Muslims. On this auspicious. Occasion Shikalgar family Members residing all over Maharashtra come together and offer their prayers, and perform their rituals. It was during these 2 days that Yakub Baba and his peer group members used to sit in the Bagh of Lengre and try to resolve family, inheritance, Marital Dowry issues. His Words were placed in High Esteem and Respected by one & all. Young Naushad had attended these meetings and seen the plight of Shikalgar families in general. After completing his studies Naushad Shikalgar thought of bringing the young like minds of Shikalgar community together, with this aim he first took a group of youngsters for a picnic. They Enjoyed their day as mostly the youngsters Were engaged in some business or the other. And this Relaxation of a single day was a boon to them. After the picnic in the evening before returning home Naushad spoke with the group members and told them about his intentions. And thus, the foundation of the Trust was laid down.
